Hi. I’d just like you to look at this picture for a minute.
This is a picture of Britney Jean Spears, born 2nd December 1981, in Kentwood. She’s one of the most famous and beautiful women worldwide, and many people think her fame is for all ‘the wrong reasons’.
I disagree. People can say that she’s talentless, that she lipsyncs, that she’s fat, but I think they’re wrong. This women, was once a little girl who would practice singing and dancing in front of the bathroom mirror. This was the little girl who dreamed to be famous, who worked so hard to get to where she is today. She wouldn’t be so well known, if she wasn’t talented. She’s an amazing dancer and a talented singer, which seems to be an increasingly hard combination to find in pop singers today.
Her first ever single went to number one in 1999, all over the world, when she was just a teenager and she’s went on to have many number one singles since then. She’s released seven studio albums, all of which have been extremely successful, with many of them also becoming number one albums. On top of this, she has won countless awards, as well as doing many sold-out tours and she has a huge, dedicated fanbase.
She’s had a tough time in the spotlight, and I admire her for this. You can say what you like about her ‘breakdown’ but she had a hard time, and the paparazzi just made it worse. It must have took so much courage to recover from it and start making music again.
She’s also an amazing and dedicated mother, to her too young sons. You can just tell she loves them more than anything, that she would sacrafice all that she has just to see them smile.
So before you judge Britney Spears, just think about this. She’s a strong, talented young woman, who worked so hard for her fame, she’s also a loving mother, as well as being extremely kind and considerate towards her fans. She’s lived the dreams of so many little girls everywhere, and she’s still everything I’d hope to be in the future - because no matter what happens in her life, she carries on smiling.
The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft houses the only known intact pair of necropants, a beyond-disturbing item popularly used for purposes of traditional magic in seventeenth century Iceland. To make your own (and thus reap good fortune), strike a deal with a friend than whoever dies first will allow the other wear the lower half of their corpse as a pair of pants, day and night:
If you want to make your own necropants (literally; nábrók) you have to get permission from a living man to use his skin after his death.
After he has been buried you must dig up his body and flay the skin of the corpse in one piece from the waist down. As soon as you step into the pants they will stick to your own skin.
A coin must be stolen from a poor widow and placed in the scrotum along with the magical sign, nábrókarstafur, written on a piece of paper. Consequently the coin will draw money into the scrotum so it will never be empty, as long as the original coin is not removed.
To ensure salvation the owner has to convince someone else to overtake the pants and step into each leg as soon as he gets out of it. The necropants will thus keep the money-gathering nature for generations.
necropants are wild from start to finish
